A dark ruby center cuts to a magenta edge, the nose swirls with violets, baking spices, vanilla, licorice, and black cherries. Layers of ripe cherry, currant and blackberry are stitched together by notes of white pepper, tobacco, chocolate and damp earth. This wine is big, complex, and angular and has a precision and focus that other wines in this style can lack. Allow this estate grown wine proper time to breathe.
